Probate Shortcut: Summary Administration
Florida has a probate “shortcut” referred to as summary administration. The eligibility requirements for summary administration include:
The summary administration procedure is started either by a recipient or the individual called as personal representative in the decedent’s will. If there is a making it through partner, she or he must sign and verify the petition.
The petition will include evidence that the estate satisfies the requirements for summary administration along with a list of assets. Once it is submitted and evaluated by the court and the other requirements for summary administration are fulfilled, there will be an order provided that disperses the assets to heirs immediately upon the entry of the order.
